Anim HW1

These tools specifically, are easy for users to find and use to generate content within the photoshop application. Additionally, the features such as onion skinning can help when creating seamless transitions between different frames which enhances the effect of the animation overall. More complex frame-by-frame tools require more precise attention to detail and intricate use of the tool. Achieving a fluid motion and intricate attention to detail can take longer to achieve, especially when patience is not a virtue. Additionally, managing a large number of frames at one time can become quite a meticulous process to maintain clarity and efficiency throughout the proc...

Somewhere

In this project, we were asked to choose a movie or TV show to insert ourselves into. I chose the movie Step Brothers, more specifically the "Boats N Hoes" scene of the movie. This scene occurs at the end once the brothers have decided they were going to be best friends. They create this song on their dad's boat and end up crashing it at the end of the music video. I happened to be on a boat around the time of this project, so I was able to take my picture on a boat, making it easier to insert myself into the scene. I inserted myself to the left of Brennan, more of in the background so that it looked the most seamless. The scene is a very silly, unserious vibe; this is why I chose to take a sillier picture so that it would look more natural as I inserted myself as a part of this particular scene.

I think that because of the shadows on the wall of this picture, that inserting myself in it would be rather difficult. I think that it would be easy to place myself over Kendall, however making it so the shadows match up with my silhouette might be hard.  This picture gave me inspiration to choose Step Brothers for my "Somewhere" project. The scene where the boys are singing "Boats n Hoes" is the scene I chose to insert myself into. They are sitting on a bench in the music video, where I will photoshop myself in between them.  This picture made me laugh, the whole point was to make him look older. They took a strip out of his hair and poorly added a briefcase to make him look like an older version of himself.  This would be fun to recreate since it looks like it's raining. I think the spit take may take a few tries to perfect but would be a fun time to try and recreate.

PS Black and White to Color

For this assignmetn we were asked to take a picture of ourselves in nature or interacting with the outside in some way. Over Spring Break I traveled to the Cayman Islands and got to experience so many new marine animals. This picture was taken at Starfish Point where dozens of starfish line the ocean floor. I was lucky enough to be able to hold one and get a close look at all of its' colors while being in the wild. Until this point, I had not seen them this big before and find it super eye opening to see all of the animals that other countries and areas have to offer. For this assignment I chose colors that both went with the vibe of the ocean, and a happy feel good vibe. The top image is a triad color scheme, the middle is split complimentary, and the last is monochromatic. My tag brush was added in black to each version to represent it being my work. Done using photoshop, I was able to create all three color versions from the original color version shown below.

PS Homework 2

This image is from the section of the People's Portfolio called Sexual Violence in the Congo. It is a picture of two women standing together holding hands, standing for women empowerment. As a young woman, it is always a concern that I could be taken advantage of simply because I am not as strong or powerful as my male counterparts. In regards to sexual violence in general, it is such a sensitive topic regardless of your gender.  I am lucky enough to not have had to experience moments of being in danger in regards to sexual violence, but am well aware that so many others have. Many things come along with being a victim of sexual violence. Things such as PTSD, stress and anxiety, guilt, shame, betrayal are all very real things that people have to deal with when falling victim to sexual violence. These things are life altering and make life much harder, especially for someone who did not chose for this terrible thing to happen to them.  This image was taken in the Cayman ...
